TrialNet
You are likely eligible for TrialNet. TrialNet is a free, research-based program that provides screening for people with a family history of T1D.
For people 2 to 45 years old with a first-degree relative (parent, child, sibling) with T1D.
For people 2 to 20 years old with a second-degree relative (cousin, grandparent, aunt, uncle) with T1D.
For people 2 to 45 years old with a positive T1D autoantibody test outside of TrialNet
ASK Study
You are likely eligible for ASK (Autoimmunity Screening for Kids). ASK is a free, research-based program that screens for T1D and celiac disease.
For people 1 to 99 years old
No family history of T1D required
No current or past diagnosis of diabetes

For all individuals, your healthcare provider may be able to order the following labs to detect T1D antibodies, and the cost may be covered by your insurance. Consider contacting your insurance company regarding coverage prior to testing.
