What's Included in Your Experience
Family Camp is designed to remove stress so families can focus on connection, learning, and making memories together. From accommodations and meals to activities and diabetes-informed support, everything is thoughtfully planned to create a safe, welcoming, and enriching experience.

What Makes Family Camp Special
Family Camp is designed to support families living with Type 1 diabetes through connection, education, and adventure. Every detail is thoughtfully planned to create a safe, meaningful, and memorable experience.

Tucked into 130 scenic acres in the Bradshaw Mountains, Friendly Pines Camp offers a peaceful forest escape just outside Prescott. With towering pines, open meadows, and fresh mountain air, families can unplug, slow down, and enjoy meaningful time together in nature.
From zip lines and ropes courses to hiking, archery, axe throwing, and games in the meadow, every activity is designed for all ages and ability levels. These shared adventures build confidence, spark laughter, and create moments families will talk about long after camp ends.
Here, families meet others who understand life with Type 1 diabetes. Parents connect with caregivers who get it, kids meet peers who share similar experiences, and siblings are welcomed every step of the way. Many families leave with friendships that last well beyond the weekend.
Cozy cabin accommodations, indoor and outdoor gathering spaces, and Wi-Fi throughout camp help families feel comfortable and supported. With heat and fans in every cabin, the environment is designed to remove stress so families can focus on what matters most.
Every part of the weekend is thoughtfully designed with Type 1 diabetes in mind. Educational sessions, peer support, and diabetes-informed programming help families feel confident, prepared, and empowered throughout the camp experience.
Meals are served in a nut-free environment and can accommodate gluten-free, vegetarian, vegan, and dairy-free needs. Through the EZ Healthy Fresh program, campers also take part in hands-on nutrition activities that make learning about food both fun and practical.
