The Diabetes Network of Arizona strives to keep Camp FWD Youth Camp affordable for families. Significant upfront costs for staffing, facilities, and program preparation occur months before camp begins. Due to these expenses and limited camper spots, a Refund & Cancellation Policy is in place to ensure program sustainability.

All cancellations must be submitted in writing for refund consideration.

Full Refunds

A full refund of the family contribution will be issued only if:

1. The camper is unable to attend due to a medical condition identified by camp medical staff during opening day health screening.

2. There is a serious illness or death in the immediate family.

These are the only circumstances eligible for a full refund.

No Refunds

No refund will be issued if:

• The camper is a no show

• The family does not submit written cancellation

• The camper leaves camp early due to homesickness or personal preference

• The camper is removed at the parent or guardian’s request for reasons unrelated to medical necessity

• The camper is dismissed for behavioral issues, violation of the Camp FWD Code of Conduct, safety risks, or failure to comply with diabetes management requirements

Cancellation Refund Schedule (Written cancellation required)

60+ Days Before Camp
Refund of family contribution minus the $50 non refundable administrative fee.

59 to 30 Days Before Camp
Refund of 50% of family contribution minus the $50 non refundable administrative fee.

29 to 15 Days Before Camp
Refund of 25% of family contribution minus the $50 non refundable administrative fee.

14 to 0 Days Before Camp
No refund will be issued.
